C’est en septembre 2000 qu’AUDACE rapporte en Europe la preuve que Monsanto a déjà été sanctionnée aux Etats Unis pour ses pratiques publicitaires dont les allégations de sécurité ou de protection pour l'environnement sont propres, fondamentalement, à induire le consommateur en erreur.
Depuis, l'association a dénoncé à trois reprises devant les juridictions françaises des faits constitutifs de publicité mensongère.
It is in September 2000 that AUDACE returns from the United States with the proof that Monsanto had already been caught up by the attorney general of the State of New York its advertising practices. The latter, referring to pesticide companies emphasised that It is inaccurate and potentially misleading to describe themselves as "environmentally conscious" or "environmentally responsible" because of the overbroad and unqualified nature of these claims as well as the potential for pesticides to cause adverse effects on the environment.
Since then, the association has denounced, on three occasions, before French courts, facts which constitute misleading advertisements.
